Hopefully, they won't have humans on their dinner menu.

We'd probably taste pretty bad to them.

I went to school with someone that later became a criminal. He tried to blame his school life for driving him to murder.

Many criminals use that excuse to try and get themselves off the hook.
"It's not my fault, it's because the kids all made fun of me when I was in school!"

I think some people are just destined to be criminals.

And some people willingly choose to be them.
There is really no set path for anyone here.

Well, I'm no expert in these matters. I really don't follow crimes dramas, but I do like documentaries and such on the subject.

I think the reality isn't a Rhoda Penmark "bad seed" type thing but if you have an unstable mind to begin with, growing up in a crappy environment won't help.

Be nice if it was possible for the Beaumonts and other historical murdered and missing children to be able to return from the Undiscovered Country to Earth and see our time. Though i think there'd be a lot of culture shock for the Beaumont girls upon arriving... for starters, a little girl in 1966 Adelaide still had to wear dresses to school, even in the coldest weather.

Well, there might be some shock. Someone from 1966 would be totally blown away by the technology we have now, like the Internet and cell phones. However, they would be able to adjust after a while.
Now, someone from the Middle Ages, that's another story.
