Somehow, I can't see that happening. Why? There are many of those! They can just do what Trump did, and have a foreign country hack stuff to make them President. Or be a popular youtuber or w\ever with lots of fans who all go vote for them because they're an idol.

Besides, sometimes outlaws get romanticized. Jesse James, or, in your case, Ned Kelly, come to mind here.
